Lynn Larson

Lynn considers herself an expert in remediating articulation, especially the "R" phoneneme which many speech therapists consider the most difficult sound to teach. She also excells working with all types of articulation and language disorders. Lynn enjoys working with children to develop their language, including vocabulary, gramatical and syntactical development. Building good language skills, Lynn helps kids thrive and succeed in their academic and social endeavors.

Lynn also has extensive experience working with preschoolers who have not developed any language. Lynn encourages these children to communicate, using play therapy. With playful strategies Lynn enters the child's world and and helps them to expand and aquire new skills. Children look forward to their sessions with Miss Lynn and have fun.

She has been in private practice for the last twenty years and has also been employed by the Garden Grove Unified School district for six years and presently with the Capistrano Unified School District for the past sixteen years.

Lynn volunteered in El Salvador and participated as a speaker as part of a team of professionals, in a government sponsored Autism Conference during the summer of 2013. Helping governments in third world countries to set up programs in their schools to help children with autism is a passion of Lynn's. Autism is growing at epedemic proportions and countries need help educating their teachers. Lynn is dedicated to this cause.

Lynn has a Bachelor of Science degree in Communicative Disorders from Cal State University Fullerton and a Master of Science Degree in Communicative Disorder from the University of Redlands.
